DRW Opening: Family Care & IRIS Ombudsman Program Manager

The Opportunity:
The Family Care & IRIS Ombudsman Program (FCIOP) is a statutorily-authorized program
developed by DRW in 2008, for individuals age 18-59. FCIOP serves as an independent advocate for individual enrollees and potential enrollees of Wisconsin’s Medicaid managed care long-term care programs (“Family Care” and “Family Care Partnership”) and its Medicaid self-directed longterm care program, (“Include, Respect, I Self-Direct” – “IRIS”).

The Program Manager has the primary leadership role in the program. He or she has responsibility for: setting the overall direction of FCIOP; supervising and coordinating the individual and systems advocacy work of all FCIOP staff in DRW’s three regional offices; developing and implementing the program’s outreach and public information efforts; directly engaging in systems advocacy; serving as the primary DRW contact to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services; maintaining effective relationships with Family Care and IRIS program staff, managed care organizations and other agencies involved in the long term care system; analyzing program data and preparing reports. The FCIOP Program Manager is supervised by the DRW Executive Director, is a member of the DRW Management Team, and is located in the DRW Madison office.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have:


• Program, management and supervisory experience
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with government, providers and other advocacy
agencies.
• Demonstrated commitment to social justice and/or disability rights
• Individual and systems advocacy experience•
• Excellent verbal and written skills 

SALARY: $45,000 - $65,000,
