Job Summary: Plan and execute special events to include fundraising events, Annual Meeting, Presidents Society, Wrap Party, naming dedications and Trustee Holiday Gathering. Responsible for script production, venue negotiations, printed collateral materials, vendor contracts and event production. Track all event details and associated budgets.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree of Arts or Science.
Experience: Minimum eight years event planning.
Minimum four years experience writing for external audiences.
Strong organizational management skills and interpersonal skills.
Skills: Computer literacy is essential (Word, Excel, Power Point, Desktop Publishing, etc.)
Demonstrated leadership, analytical and planning skills.
Strong appreciation for the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Experience working with volunteer committees.
Attention to detail.
Excellent speaking and writing skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to balance multiple projects effectively & efficiently.
Willingness to play a part on a fast paced, goal-oriented team.
Empowerment philosophy and team player.
A valid WI driver’s license, auto insurance and good driving record.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plans and executes signature events to include managing co-chairs and event committees.
• Meet corporate and individual ticket sales goals.
• Research and write all sponsorship proposals.
• Develop and manage organization’s secondary special events and cultivation events. Organizes all phases of projects including site selection, written programs, script writing, event details, and volunteer management.
• Works directly with outside vendors to secure competitive bids.
• Assists Director of Major Gifts as needed.
